Surrounded by dense vegetation, the Pacuare Jungle Lodge is situated on the banks of the Pacuare River in one of Costa Rica’s most pristine forest areas. Formed by a group of bungalows, the lodge was designed and created fully respecting the natural environment and observing the principles and criteria of sustainable ecotourism. The main complex includes a restaurant hall and a lounge provided with inviting hammocks, where guests can relax in peace. The suites are all made of natural materials and the architecture is reminiscent of the Costa Rican indigenous style. Interior furnishings are luxurious, yet simple, and include extra-large beds surrounded by wide window panels offering superb views of the tropical forest and the fabrics used are all produced from natural fibre. The soap and detergents provided in each bathroom are all biodegradable. The honeymoon suite, which has received many awards on account of its stunning hilltop location, blends in harmoniously with the surrounding natural environment and offers sweeping views of the surrounding rainforest, as well as a hanging bridge to a private treetop platform.
