Eco Luxury Camps and Lodges in the World

Where you’ll stay for a dream eco-vacation

Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge

Morgan’s Rock, located on the southern Pacific coast of Nicaragua, is the result of a project aimed at safeguarding the environment and developing the local economy. More specifically, the ‘hacienda’, a 1,800-hectare property immersed in tropical forest and bordered by pure white beaches, where turtles come to lay their eggs, is situated to the north of San Juan del Sur close to the Costa Rican border and just to the south of the old colonial centre of Granada. Created in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment, the 15 refined, wooden bungalows at Morgan’s Rock were constructed by local artisans and arranged so as to ensure privacy and a very peaceful stay. Luxuriously equipped with extra-large beds, comfortable sofa-beds, a private terrace/deck and wooden internal décor elements and fittings, the apartments are all linked to the central lodge by means of a 110-m suspension bridge that crosses a forested canyon. The hacienda and its private reserve offers a wide range of activities and excursions including guided explorations to allow visitors to discover the many types of plants and birds that live in this area, trips across Lake Nicaragua, kayaking, butterfly tours and cultural visits with guides to nearby villages.
