Yacutinga Lodge: in harmony with nature

The Yacutinga eco-tourism lodge, located close to the IguazĂș River in the Misiones Forest, is a unique resort in Argentina. The lodge aims to offer guests a relaxed atmosphere in a man-made structure in perfect harmony with nature adapted to the sloping surfaces of the terrain. It was constructed using local materials, such as stone, tree trunks or timber from fallen trees to ensure they generate a sense of total integration with the surrounding environment. The five bungalows located in the forest are composed of four rustic-style rooms and are furnished with large beds and a private bathroom. During the winter (June-August), when the climate gets colder, a wood chimney heats the rooms. The main building contains the bar on the terrace, the reception and a restaurant, which offers views across the palm grove. Visitors to the lodge can take part in a wide variety of activities, such as guided walks, the planting of indigenous trees, the observation and identification of typical woodland animal species and awareness-raising sessions relating to natural processes, all of which allow the guests to acquire a deeper understanding of the forest.
